Travel writer | Entrepreneur | Lecturer
Hello.
I’m an entrepreneur, travel writer, tea and food judge, lecturer, and former scientist based in London. My interests are in tea, trains, Taiwan, and technology.
When not writing for publications, such as The Independent, Adventure.com, and Globetrender, I manage the operations of Marulin, a fine tea and food company that I co-founded based on my family farms in Taiwan.
I also train tea sommeliers on Taiwanese tea for the UK Tea Academy and am a judge for the Guild of Fine Foods and the Leafies International Tea Competition.
On occasion, I consult for large international non-governmental organisations, such as the World Health Organization, and have been an external advisor for Bain. I like to bring my scientific training and analysis into my work.
Over the years, I’ve been shortlisted for the Yan-Kit So Award for Food Writers on Asia and was selected for Intrepid Travel’s Inaugural Diversifying Media Trip. I was recently invited to join the Northwestern University Council of 100 and President’s Cornell Council of Women to support women in their careers.
